Acne Treatment for Pregnant Women

“Acne Treatment for Pregnant Women”All the romance novels and television movies make us think we’re supposed to look dewy-faced when we’re pregnant. So why do so many of us look pizza-faced instead? The culprit is the hormone androgen. The level of androgen in a woman’s body increases while she is pregnant, and this increases the risk of acne during pregnancy. If you experienced breakouts during your menstrual periods, you are especially likely to become the victim of acne during pregnancy.

acne-during-pregnancy.jpg

Unfortunately, the standard treatments, including Retin-A, Tetracycline, and Accutane, are not options for pregnant women due to the risk of harming the fetus. Accutane, especially, has been linked to birth defects, and tetracycline may cause problems with the baby’s bones and teeth. Retin-A has not been linked specifically to any fetal problems, but doctors do know that around 10% of Retin-A crosses the placenta to reach the fetus.

With the most recent treatments considered unsafe for pregnant women, women who suffer acne during pregnancy must consider more old-fashioned methods of treatment.

You might think sweating would be the last thing you want to do, but surprisingly, regular exercise can help reduce acne during pregnancy. Exercise will help decrease your level of stress. Being stressed out can make acne worse. Exercise will also improve the blood flow throughout your body which will make all of your skin healthier.

Another way to decrease breakouts is to watch what you eat. Fried foods and excessive sweets have been linked to blemishes. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables can help improve your acne during pregnancy.

You should wash your face at least twice a day. Use a mild, oil-free soap, and don’t scrub with a washcloth. Using a harsh soap and scrubbing at your skin will strip away the natural oil, sending the message to your glands to produce more. When you wash, use your hands or an oil-absorbing cloth to cleanse your skin. Then pat your skin dry and use an oil-free moisturizer.

If you make sure it is make-up, make sure it is not oil based. Be sure to wash it off before bedtime. Excessive make-up can cause acne during pregnancy.

Finally, don’t squeeze or pop pimples. This will only lead to scarring. Also, try to avoid touching the pimples and then touching other areas of your face, as this could cause acne during pregnancy to spread.

If your skin problems become too uncomfortable, speak with your doctor. You may want to consult with a dermatologist, but you should make sure the dermatologist knows you are pregnant. Just to be safe, consult with your ob-gyn before taking any medications for acne during pregnancy prescribed by another doctor.

Pimples while you are pregnant can make you feel self-conscious just when you want to open up to the world and enjoy it the most. Luckily, most acne during pregnancy starts to resolve by the end of the first trimester. Skin problems are usually far less of an issue later in pregnancy.

Celebrity Skincare

What’s the deal with celebrities? Wait a minute! I’ll give you the spiel. First of all, they make far too much money.

celebskin.jpg
Come on already; do they really work hard enough to make 10-20 million a picture? Please! Second of all, they spend all their free time pampering themselves with ridiculous spa treatments that cost more than your home. Do you realize what that kind of cash could do for the needy? I would feel bad spending a grand on lunch, but somehow it doesn’t bother J Lo. And then to top it all off, fans worship them. Worship them for doing what? Did I miss something here? Do celebrities save innocent people or fight in wars? Not that I’m aware of. Most of them just sit around in their luxurious settings, griping about conservatives. And yet, what do you know; people still want to be like them. Well, if you’re really down for the financial challenge, you can try to keep your self up like them with celebrity skin care products and a number of other spa treatments.

Much of our grooming comes down to what we’re willing to spend. This applies to time and money. How much effort are you willing to devote to making yourself look nice each day? The truth is you can spend as much as you’re able to. The prices go up and up. Ever heard of the Golden Gate Spa? This is a fancy one. But, when it comes to celebrity skin care and pampering, the stars go all out. Personally I can only take this to a basic level. Most Male pampering consists of fine shaving products, some hair wax, and a moisturizer. How’s that for celebrity skin care? Uh, it’s probably not up to par. I watched a special VH1 program on celebrity skin care and pampering, and it almost made me hurl. J Lo is one of the most ridiculous. She apparently purchases some sort of special moisturizer that’s produced according to the lunar cycle. It costs thousands, and she smears the stuff all over her entire body. Give us all a break J Lo. This is absurd.

There are products online that are advertised as those used by celebrities. One thing you can always count on about celebrity skin care is that it’s pricey. So don’t be shocked if you have to fork out the big bucks to have a complexion like J Lo’s or legs like Fergi’s.

Ways to Remove Stress Through Bubble Baths

“Remove Stress Through Bubble Baths”

There is nothing more relaxing after a horribly stressful day, than taking a well-deserved bubble bath. After I tuck my daughter into bed and my husband is content in front of the TV, I escape to the bathroom to submerge myself into a warm and inviting bubble bath. I make sure there are the perfect amount of bubbles and that the water temperature is just right. And, what bubble bath is complete without a few candles glowing in the background. I dim the lights and let the scent of the burning candles engulf me as I slip into the bubble bath. I love to sink down in the water until the bubbles touch my neck. I close my eyes and let the bubble bath relax my muscles and free my mind. Sometimes that is easier said than done, but it has to be done. Everyone should be able to escape to a bubble bath at least once a week. A bubble bath is not only a means of getting away from the rest of the chaos in the household, but it is very therapeutic.
baths.jpg

If you get the proper bubble bath soap, the aroma can do wonders for your senses and relaxation. I tend to try to use lavender scented bubble bath to calm me down after a horrible day. I also love anything that has a light floral fragrance. If you have some of the same scented candles, before you know it, you can lose yourself in your own bathroom. Sometimes, when my husband has a terrible day, I try to coax him into taking a bubble bath. I tell him that he can relax and that no one will bother him. I offer candles and all kinds of different soaps. He always refuses, telling me that a bubble bath is something that only women should do. I constantly tell him that he definitely wouldn’t regret it and would most likely end up wanting a bubble bath frequently. He has no clue what he’s missing. He is also afraid that our kids will barge in and forever make fun of him. I remind him that the bathroom door does have a lock on it. It is amazing what excuses he comes up with to not take a bubble bath. For as hard as he works, he deserves a bubble bath every now and then. Apparently, it would be compromising his manhood.

I personally love to shop at Bath & Body Works to get all of my bubble bath necessities. They always have heavenly new scents of soaps and lotions, even candles. With some of their supplies, I know that a bubble bath is something I just cannot live without. I just have to figure out how to convince my husband of that fact.

How to Treat Roseca Skin

“How to Treat Roseca Skin”

The first sound of its name may bring you to stop for a while because it is simply “scientific” in nature. Actually, acne roseca skin care is similar to saying rash treatment. That, friends are for sure, more colloquial than the previous that was sort of cryptic. Anyhow, the external layer disorder is considered to be chronic and most of the time, appears so obvious because the face is the most affected area.

Caucasians should regard more importance to acne roseca skin care because the condition is more common to those who have light complexions. A study revealed that between figures of 30 to 60 women, the total reached 14 million Americans were affected with the rashes. As for the stage demographic, there is a shocking 85 percent in teenagers while only 20 percent in adults.

Men should even more seriously have an acne roseca skin care treatment because they are more susceptible than women. Worst, the condition is even coupled with rhinophyma where the nose becomes big and even turns red in color. Even with how advanced technology is, the cure for the disorder is not yet known albeit, for it not to entirely spread there is a call to properly watch over the largest organ, the principal coat.

Acne roseca skin care
should be concentrated more on the visage features because like it was mentioned earlier, it will initially occur on the face especially on the cheeks. Well, there is no hassle for ladies to purchase any blush- on cosmetic. Kidding aside, aside from discoloration as the most overt symptom, it will also be accompanied with throbbing, itching and burning. There are even cases where the blood vessels that were damaged can be very clear.

The more rashes will increase when you expose yourself under the heat sun as it contains perilous ultraviolet rays. Severe temperatures, be it hot or cold, can also aggravate the condition. If you are fond of eating foods that are very spicy such as putting Tabasco sauce on your pizza filled with huge green bell peppers, tone it down since it will only worsen the case.

Putting that your rashes are already very harsh especially when you spot swelling papules and pustule circles, do not ever hesitate to consult a dermatologist. Those medical practitioners are more well- versed with any conditions on the external layer. Do not ever attempt as well as to apply any chemical formulation because it would be of no amount of help.

Natural Baby Skin Care

From bubble baths to baby powders and shower shampoos to lotions, almost all the products nowadays contain chemicals that are very dangerous to their tender skin, and it gets even worse especially when they are exposed to these products almost two to four times in a day. To answer to this particular problem, we now have many companies which produce natural baby skin care products.

baby-skin-care.jpg

These products are usually made from the purest ingredients, which is the best solution for newborn babies’ skin. And many of these products are sometimes handmade without any chemical oils, preservatives and petroleum jelly. Some of them are as below.

Bathing Products

One of the most famous natural baby skin care products is hair shampoo and body lotion. Hair shampoos here are very much taken into consideration, because the type of shampoo that should be used in babies differ from one to another according to the amount of hair they have and their scalp, so usually there would be several choices available for parents to choose from.

A bad choice of shampoo may result in cracking scalp problem or even hair loss for your baby. Generally, most of natural baby skin care products contain ingredients such as coconut oil, soy protein, herbs and mild natural preservatives from plants, and they do not contain heavy chemicals like imidazolidinyl urea and parabens that are used widely in commercial baby products.

For baths, most of the commercial products are made of synthetic moisturizers that can eventually leave their tender skin dry and cracked. Natural baby skin care products on the other hand, use natural resources like lavender oil, calendula, olive, coconut, palm oil and water.

Post-Bathing Products

After a clean shower with all natural baby skin care products, many parents would also want to use powders and lotions for their babies. Usually the commercial talc-based baby powders can cause various problems to the skin such as rashes, irritation, and even allergy to other senses. And for this, the natural baby skin care powders would be the alternative. They usually contain nothing more than natural bentonite clay and cancer-free natural chemicals.

What Causes Acne

“WHAT CAUSES ACNE”
Have you ever wondered what causes acne? Well if you’re like me and suffer from acne outbreaks on a regular basis, I’m sure you’ve spend quite a lot of time wondering what causes acne, and even more time trying to get rid of it. What causes acne is one of those questions mankind has been trying to answer ever since the last ice age ended, and although we have some sound theories on the subject now we still have a ways to go.

acne.jpg

Trying to determine what is causing your acne is definitely a good place to start. What causes acne is a hard question to answer definitively, as there seem to be a lot of possible causes. Most of the theories on what causes acne have focused on three different areas; skin cleanliness, diet, stress, hormones and genetics. The likely answer is that acne is caused by some combination of some or all of these components in most cases.

Because there are several different root sources behind what causes acne, everyone’s acne is probably somewhat unique. For instance, I think my own acne is mostly related to stress and genetics. I use several different acne skin care products and still get outbreaks, though if I don’t take good care of my skin I certainly get a lot more. My diet has never seemed to effect my acne in the least.

Having at least some idea of what causes acne for me, it’s a lot easier to avoid it. I know that if I take measures to lower stress I’ll have much fewer outbreaks. That’s why I’ve incorporated regular exercise and good sleep hygiene into my acne treatment regiment, and it seems to have worked quite well. There does seem to be a hormonal and genetic component to it as well, as some amount of acne occurs even during periods of low stress. Fortunately, its not so severe that I feel the need to pursue more vigorous treatment methods, and I’ve simply come to accept a small amount of acne as inevitable in my life.

If you are suffering from severe or even moderate acne, its probably worth a trip to a dermatologist. A good dermatologist can answer a lot of questions you have about what causes acne and how to get rid of it. There are also a number of good prescription creams and medications that can be used to stop acne. Be warned, however, these medications are not without side effects!

How to Get Rid of Loose Skin

Most people assume that it’s impossible to get rid of loose skin. Appearing on the abdomen, inner thighs, inner arms, and butt, loose skin is the last piece of the weight loss puzzle. Surgery is the last option, in cases where weight loss exceeds 100 pounds . However, diet is the best option. If you asked a doctor how to get rid of loose skin, you might hear, “Just keep losing weight until your skin is no longer loose”. The truth of the matter is that loose skin is simply excess fat hanging in the skin. Crash diets are usually responsible for saggy skin. With proper diet and exercise, loose skin can be a thing of the past! Skin itself is not fatty. Skin is a stretchy, elastic organ that usually bounces back into shape. It’s the fat clinging to the inside of the skin that gives that folded, dimpled appearance. Prevention begins with diet. When a person goes on a crash diet, the total weight loss consists of 20% lean fat and over 20% muscle. So you end up with more total fat than before! With less muscle support, the skin appears droopy. Lean fat appears firm. The jelly-like fat left over hangs in the skin, using it like a hammock. On the other hand, a gradual, reasonable diet results in mostly flabby fat loss. Don’t try to lose ten pounds in ten days. Set a reasonable goal. Try cutting down on portions and get regular exercise. If you absolutely must lose the weight quickly, expect the loose skin. Just because you have the shape you intended, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t firm up. A low-fat diet forces your body to burn the extra fat hanging in your skin, for energy. Don’t expect the loose skin to get toned up quickly. This loose skin fat is the toughest to get rid of, even tougher than belly fat. It takes persistence, so don’t quit. Another reason you may have dimply skin is because there is not enough muscle to support it. Before continuing to diet, start a muscle building and toning program. Aerobics and Pilates are both known for their fast-acting muscle toning exercises. If, after toning the muscles, the skin is still flabby, it’s time to combine muscle-firming exercise with diet. When combined, the fat in the skin will eventually go away, and the skin will revert to its original shape. In cases of weight loss of 100 or more pounds, cosmetic surgery may be the only option. Before you opt for surgery, make sure you understand the risks and success rates associated with this type of surgery. Always check with your doctor when it comes to decisions related to your health. Avoid crash diets. Develop and stick with good eating habits. If the loose skin persists, go with an aerobics or Pilates program. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was a perfectly flat tummy, so have patience.

The Best Acne Skincare

The best acne skin care begins with you. The right attitude should complement the proper treatment and preventive measures. If you content yourself with using anti-acne products sold commercially, you may not be in the right track to fight back against it. Acne strikes at anyone even if you’re way over puberty. The best acne skin care is treating acne from the inside out.

Must-eat fruits for acne

Begin with these must-eat fruits as part of your best acne skin care: eat at least 2 apples a day; consume as many apricots as you want; one banana a day helps your digestive system; blackberries, blueberries and cherries aid in ridding the blood of wastes; cantaloupes are high in vitamins A and C as well as other minerals that help in the treatment of skin problems. Figs contain high fiber that are good for digestion; grapefruits help eliminate toxins from drugs to improve liver function; grapes help in building new blood cells; mango neutralize acid waste; strawberries contain anti-acne enzymes; while pineapples has papain that help to metabolize protein.

Fruits in general have excellent cleansing agents and vitamins and minerals that hasten the body’s recovery against infections, including acne. So eating fruits many times a day should be part of a best acne skin care regimen.

Go herbal

The best acne skin care you can offer yourself is probably an herbal treatment. It is inexpensive and doesn’t contain harsh substances that leave pollutants in your body in contrast to your doctor’s prescription drugs. Plus, they are right over your kitchen!

Be among the thousands of people in the world who revere basil as a sacred herb. It’s famous in the treatment of skin disorders, in case you don’t know. Drink it (like tea) or apply it topically, use olive or virgin coconut oil as base. The results will tell you.

Sandalwood and neem are renowned as best acne skin care treatment. Both have antibacterial properties that treat acne before it develops. Use them as a paste and apply liberally on affected and surrounding areas.

Aside from the abovementioned best acne skin care treatments, combating acne means clearing your face of dirt and excess oil. Choose mild cleansers that contain a few percentages of benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. These help relieve sores and lesions. If it’s necessary for you to use moisturizers, get the ones that are non-comedogenic. Use only oil-free make-up as these can block pores.

The best acne skin care treatment begins with you. Living a healthy lifestyle (bet you know what healthy is) and in harmony with nature (get enough sleep) will surely benefit you entirely.
