There are three basic types of skin namely the normal, the oily and the dry skin. All these three basic types of skin are prone to dry skin acne ailment as well as to degrees of severity but may depend on various conditions. There are a large percentage of people who are experiencing the problem of dry skin acne. And because of this, proper care should be given to your skin to prevent dry acne skin from happening.
Dry skin acne usually appears every winter and this season is the worse time for outbreaks of it. In this event, a daily regimen of dry skin care should be followed. Also, daily regimen must also be done as the season changes as skin conditions tend to change as well. During winter season, moisture for skin is not sufficient due to drop in temperature and humidity. From this reason, dry acne skin tends to appear. Also other combined indoor heating and environmental factors may also result to dry acne skin making it more dried and irritated.

Hot baths or showers should be avoided if you have dry acne skin as this will remove the moisture in your body that will make your skin more dry and irritated. In this case, you need to use more moisturizers as needed. In using moisturizers for your dry acne skin make sure that it has the ingredients of ceramides or linoleic acid, mineral oil and glycerin so you can have the right amount of moisturizers for your dry acne skin. The application of moisturizers for you dry acne skin is best done right after bathing or showering to avoid further drying of the skin.
During summer seasons, it is best to have changes in your daily routine of caring for you dry acne skin. This is because that air is a lot more humid wherein skins absorb moisture better. The sweat and heat makes our skin pores much softer as it pulls in more liquid and bacteria. However, during summer seasons, moisturizers with retinoids should be included in your daily routine for your dry acne skin as this helps to cover your skin from strong sun screens.
