Some of these environmental factors leading to dry skin problems include exposure to cold or hot weathers and wind with low humidity levels. Other factors included in dry skin problems also include extreme exposures to air conditioning, excessive bathing and the use of strong chemical soaps. Another factor of dry skin problem is the metabolic changes that normally occur while aging or got something to do with certain medical conditions. These factors excessively affect the moisture contents of the human body skin that may lead to serious dry skin problems.
With severe or chronic dry skin problem, it is best for you to secure professional advices as this kind of ailment can not be resolved by using lotions or creams. However, to avoid any serious case of dry skin problem you may start improving your skin through drinking plenty of water, taking minimal frequency of bathing or showering, and applying effect moisturizers that will retain the oils in your skin.
